About me
Rama El Safty is an Egyptian-French computer scientist and transformational leader with a 25-year track record of building organizations from scratch and accelerating growth across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. She specializes in disrupting traditional sectors, combining an entrepreneurial "can-do" mindset with the institutional weight required to navigate complex markets and regulatory landscapes.
As Country Director for Andela in Egypt, she built and led the country hub from its inception, scaling it into a regional powerhouse for global tech talent. As General Manager and Board Member at Atos Egypt, she spearheaded a strategic turnaround and regional expansion across cloud and AI. Her career also includes senior leadership roles at IBM, Lenovo, and Dell, driving multi-million dollar integrations and operational excellence.
Rama operates at the highest levels of private and public sector strategy — collaborating with the Central Bank of Egypt on national FinTech talent initiatives, and appointed in 2025 as Conseiller du Commerce Extérieur de la France for Égypte, fostering bilateral innovation between France and Egypt.
A recipient of the Global Women Power Leaders Award 2025, Rama holds an Executive MBA from HEC Paris, a BSc in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo, and a certification in FinTech & Regulatory Innovation from the University of Cambridge. Her mission is building sustainable, human-centered organizations that position the MEA region as a global innovation powerhouse.
